4to INKAFEST Mountain Film 2008
August 13,14,15 and 16 - Huaraz

The INKAFEST mountain film festival takes place in the city of Huaraz, at the feet of the beautiful White Mountain chain, as usual every year during the month of August the festival opens its doors for a series of activities within the framework of the festival.
Attend our presentations of interesting movies and vote for your favourite one, listen to renowned local and international speakers and acquire new skills in our interesting workshops of cinematographic production, also prepare yourself to do different activities such as climbing, trekking, mountain bike, rafting, paragliding in White Mountain chain and Huayhuash Mountain chain.
The purpose of this festival is also to emphasize the importance of Ecology, the preservation of the mountains and nature nowadays.

Activities at INKAFEST 2008

The INKAFEST Mountain Film Festival is a combination of different events.

o Competition of International cinematographic producers
o Competition of Peruvian cinematographic producers
o Presentation of movies that are out of the competition
o Night of the Award Ceremony to our movie winners.
o Conference Speakers invited from Peru and abroad.
o Trade Show– Mountain Shops, Tourism agencies, books, CDs, DVDs..
o Press Tour – Press Conference
o Workshops: Ideal for beginners in movie direction, extreme sports and mountain’s documentaries.
o Exhibition of Pictures, mountains books, tourism, guides and maps.
o National Tour: Lima and Cusco - September.
o Contact with other participants
o Trekking, Mountain Bike, Climbing, Paragliding, in White Mountain chain, Huayhuash Mountain chain and Conchucos's valley.

Guests INKAFEST 2008 will present national and international guests, as exhibitors and juror members, who will be announced as they are coming and confirm their assistance..


Touching the Environment ENVIRONMENT- This year the INKAFEST Mountain Film will do presentations on topics of environment and the climatic changes,by means of documentaries, conference speakers, books, samples... Be prepare to be part of this event at INKAFEST whereit will be emphasized the importance of the Ecology, the preservation of mountains and nature in today’s world.

Mountain Paragliding Filmmaking Workshops INKAFEST, together with Extreme Films of the Canada, will be making a tour named Paragliding/Filmmaking, for all
paragliding lovers that want to fly in Peru and in Huaraz during the days of the Festival and to also learn everything relating to the filming and the creation of documentaries. For more information please enter to our tour’s website.....

Competition Entry Form INKAFEST Mountain Film festival 2008 is summoning national and international directors to bring their productions to our competition this year.

To Huaraz ...Hotel / Bus / Flight INKAFEST takes place in the city of Huaraz, at 3,000 meters of height in full White Mountain chain, and you have several ways to be able to come to the city; by Bus, Plane which flies in the mornings, afternoons and nights. Huaraz also possesses a great variety of Hotels, Restaurants and Lodgings, etc.….

INKAFEST 2008 tour National Tour- INKAFEST Mountain film, with the purpose to reach many cities, has their National Tour, taking you to the city of Lima and Cusco, where there will be several presentations of the best of INKAFEST 2008, if you wish to have a presentation in your region, please contact our tour coordinator.
